Interactive Attenuation Relationships

Use this program to estimate the ground motion parameters at a site using your choice of various attenuation relationships available for several tectonic regions. These relationships include those applicable to Western North America, Eastern and Central North America, and the Cascadia Subduction Zone. Relationships and parameters available are:

Please be advised that relationships for PGV and psuedospectral velocity are less accurate than those for PGA and psuedospectral acceleration, and that the relationships for PGD are less accurate still, and should be used with caution. Selecting various parameters automatically selects the correct coefficients from the chosen relationship. A comparison of the parameters used in the various relationships can be found in the notes.
