The Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) held its 2002 PEER Annual Meeting on January 17 & 18, 2002 at the City Center Marriott Hotel in Oakland, California.

Day 1 (January 17) of the Annual Meeting, intended for PEER participants, included meetings on the PEER Methodology Testbeds program, followed by the PEER Student Day, hosted by PEER's Student Leadership Council.

The theme for Day 2 was "Progress in Performance-Based Earthquake Engineering (PBEE) Methodology", and featured presentations on PEER research advances, including concurrent sessions with structural and geotechnical emphases.
