One additional site (TCU118) was added for ChiChi. All data files were replaced for Landers/Lucerne, with Pacific Engineering and Iwan processing. They do not include the static offset since the 3 components have been filtered at 0.08 Hz to remove longer periods.

The database contains 474 new records from the September 20, 1999 M 7.6 ChiChi Taiwan earthquake, the August 17, 1999 M 7.4 Kocaeli Turkey earthquake, and the November 12, 1999 M 7.1 Duzce Turkey earthquake. Details are available in a brief report from Pacific Engineering.

Comments received from Robert Nigbor, University of Southern California.

The Landers/Lucerne Valley record component directions are 0 and 275, not 345 and 260. The directions in the original Caltech report did not correct the compass reading for declination. The PGD for the largest component of this record is 262.7 cm (not 62.7).

Loma Prieta/LGPC: These records should be identified as "defective" or modified" ground motion recordings. The accelerograph was not bolted down and did slide, so the measured motions are not true ground motions.

Northridge/Rinaldi: This record had many stalls in the film during the strongest motions, and is therefore an interpreted record. A paper by Todorovska and Trifunac discussed this and did a reprocessing.

4/18/2001

The PGD for the Cape Mendocino/Cape Mendocino (UP) record has been corrected to 109.48 cm.

2/9/2001

Updated sites LA City Terrace, LA Temple and Hope, LA University Hospital, and Pacoima Dam to Geomatrix "A" classification (Northridge earthquake records). Comments received from Bob Youngs, Geomatrix.

10/25/2000

Corrected display of Geomatrix site conditions on the Earthquake and Station Details page. Problem reported by James Marrone, Bechtel.

5/4/2000

Corrected soil classification for USGS station 126 (Lake Hughes #4) to UBC 1997 "B" Geomatrix "A".
