Hutabarat, Daniel

PEER Annual Meeting 2020 Speaker Bio: Daniel Hutabarat is a Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley who currently working on the development of quantitative liquefaction severity indices to assess liquefaction hazard on level ground site. He earned his BS from ITB in Indonesia and MS from University of Washington. He has 5 years of professional experience with expertise including computational geomechanics, earthquake engineering & reconnaissance, soil improvement, and foundation engineering. He was a member of US-NSF GEER team to investigate the massive liquefaction-induced flowslides occurred during the 28 September M7.5 Palu-Indonesia Earthquake.
