PEER Annual Meeting 2020 Speaker Bio: John A. Blume Earthquake Engineering Center Stanford University. Eduardo Miranda obtained his Civil Engineer degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM. He obtained his MSc and PhD degrees in Structural Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley. He is a professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University. His research focuses on various aspects of Earthquake Engineering with emphasis on performance-based design, seismic performance assessment and nonstructural components. He is the author or coauthor or over 200 publications in these topics.
