PEER Annual Meeting 2023 Speaker Bio: Sashi Kunnath is Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of California at Davis. He previously served as Department Chair from 2009 – 2015. He is presently Chair of the Institutional Board of Directors for the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research (PEER) Center. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering from 2003 to 2010 and also chaired the ASCE Technical Administrative Committee on Dynamic Effects and the Technical Committee on Seismic Effects. He has received major research and service awards including the Norman Medal and the Raymond Reese Research Prize from, and the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Structural Research Award (currently the Chester Paul Siess Award). He was recently inducted as Distinguished Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Updated July 2023.
