Assistant Professor, UC Berkeley. Matt DeJong is an Assistant Professor in Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He leads a research group focused on earthquake engineering, structural monitoring, soil-structure interaction, and computational modelling. Prior to his current appointment he was a faculty member at the University of Cambridge for nine years, where he was also a Fellow at St Catharine’s College and a member of the executive committee of the Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction. He earned his BS at UC Davis and his MS and PhD at MIT.
