The Computational Modeling and Simulation Center (SimCenter) is an NSF-sponsored center within the Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI). The SimCenter develops next-generation simulation tools and provides user support and educational materials to advance capabilities for simulating the impact of natural hazards on structures, lifelines, and communities.
The NHERI SimCenter’s software streamlines natural hazards engineering research through a cyber-infrastructure framework that allows collaborative simulations from various disciplines to be integrated while accounting for pertinent sources of uncertainty. Software products include research oriented tools and educational apps. In addition, the SimCenter provides in-person and online training opportunities related to engineering solutions for mitigating the effects of natural hazards. The SimCenter deploys its software and resources through DesignSafe-CI, the computational infrastructure (CI) for NHERI. More information about the SimCenter can be found at https://simcenter.designsafe-ci.org
You are invited to receive periodic updates from the SimCenter providing information about SimCenter products, technical content, or opportunities to engage with the SimCenter community. These updates will supplement our communications you might already be receiving through DesignSafe.
