Moehle Delivers 2021 Fazlur R. Khan Distinguished Lecture

Jack MoehleJack Moehle, Professor of the Graduate School at UC Berkeley, was selected to deliver a 2021 Fazlur R. Khan Distinguished Lecture at Lehigh University on March 11, 2021. The Fazlur R. Khan Distinguished Lecture Series honors Dr. Fazlur Rahman Khan, one of the foremost structural engineers of the 20th century who ushered in a renaissance in skyscraper construction during the second half of the 20th century.

Professor Moehle’s lecture, “Performance-based Seismic Design of Tall Buildings”, reviewed the development of performance-based seismic design of tall buildings, documented a typical design application, and summarized results of over a decade of experience in tall building designs.

Professor Moehle was the PI of the PEER Tall Buildings Initiative, founding director of PEER, and is currently an active member of the PEER Institutional Board.
