Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) has joined PEER as an educational affiliate. CMU faculty have expertise mutually beneficial to the PEER community in the following topics:
• post-earthquake building damage diagnosis and loss estimation
• earthquake engineering related to ground vibration sensing
• implications of earthquake risk for transportations system planning and infrastructure resilience
PEER Director Khalid Mosalam states "the PEER community welcomes CMU to PEER events and activities, and we look forward to mutual collaboration on research and educational endeavors."
