Southern Methodist University (SMU) has joined PEER as an educational affiliate. SMU faculty have expertise mutually beneficial to the PEER community in the following topics:
• geomechanics and soil-dynamics, including computational modelling of geotechnical systems
• structural health monitoring and impairment detection using machine vision and machine learning
• advancing sustainability and resilience goals through transportation infrastructure systems research,
education, and analysis
PEER Director Mosalam welcomes SMU to the PEER Educational Affiliate community and "we look forward to the participation of SMU faculty and students PEER's events and activities."
