The Structural Extreme Events Reconnaissance (StEER) Network , whose mission is to deepen the structural natural hazards engineering (NHE) community’s capacity for reliable post-event reconnaissance, has released reports in response to recent natural hazards: Hurricane Michael (October 10, 2018), Haiti earthquake (October 6), Palu earthquake and tsunami (September 28), and Hurricane Florence (September 14).
StEER reports for these events include
- Preliminary Virtual Assessment Team (P-VAT) Report, usually the first product of StEER's larger coordinated response to an event, informing and supporting other research teams seeking to learn from the disaster
- Field Assessment Team (FAT-1) Report,
- Early Access Reconnaissance Report (EARR)
StEER reports are posted on the NHERI Designsafe Data Depot at https://www.designsafe-ci.org/data/browser/public-search/?query_string=steer.
