2025 PEER Annual Meeting Speaker Bio: Georgios Tsampras is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Structural Engineering at the University of California San Diego. His research goal is to improve the safety and resilience of our built environment against natural hazards. To accomplish this goal, Georgios conducts multi-scale integrated experimental, manufacturing, and numerical research for the development of structural components, structural connections, and reduced-damage structural systems that enhance the safety, the reliability, and the efficiency of structures. Georgios has strong interest and desire in training students and researchers on the numerical simulation, design, advanced manufacturing, and experimentation of structures. Updated February 2025.
