2025 PEER Annual Meeting Speaker Bio: Varun Nigesh S. R. is a Ph.D. candidate in Geotechnical Engineering at UCLA, jointly advised by Prof. Scott J. Brandenberg and Prof. Jonathan P. Stewart. His current research is focused on understanding the influence of fines on liquefaction-triggering analyses. He earned his MS in Geotechnical Engineering from UCLA and his B.Tech (Honors) in Civil Engineering from IIT Madras. Before joining UCLA, he worked at TATA Projects Ltd. for 2 years on an underground metro construction project in Chennai, India. Updated March 2025.
