Meeting Attendance Policy

Per the PEER subaward agreements, PEER-supported Principal Investigators and supported personnel are required to attend the following events:

  • Event: PEER Annual Meeting
  • When: beginning of each calendar year
  • Who Should Attend: All project-supported key personnel are required to attend, including graduate and undergraduate students. Each project is expected to have a research poster presented by a student researcher during the poster session.
  • Travel Expenses: Paid by individual projects; please ensure that you have allocated enough funds for these costs in your project budgets.
  • Event: Research Coordination Meetings
  • When: approximately one per quarter
  • Who Should Attend: Only projec t lead Principal Investigator is required to attend (includes thrust area and testbed coordination meetings). Student researchers are strongly encouraged to attend.
  • Travel Expenses: Paid by individual projects; please ensure that you have allocated enough funds for these costs in your project budgets.
  • Event: PEER NSF Site Visit
  • When: Each year, usually sometime in April-June
  • Who Should Attend: All PEER-supported student researchers are required to attend (including graduate and undergraduate students) to present a research poster during the poster session. PI�s are not required to attend unless invited to give a presentation.
  • Travel Expenses: Student travel paid by individual projects; please ensure that you have allocated enough funds for these costs in your project budgets. If a PI has been invited to give a presentation or is required to attend the Site Visit, PEER will cover his/her travel expenses.
