The Asian-Pacific Network of Centers of Earthquake Engineering Research (ANCER) was established in 2001 by 7 centers from Korea, China mainland, USA, Japan and Chinese Taipei.
Its vision is to integrate knowledge from different regions, especially those subjected to infrequent high-consequence earthquakes, towards deriving innovative mitigation solutions as well as help educate young professionals. To read more about the center, see their inaugural newsletter.
