PEER at First Responders Appreciation Day, July 23 – CA State Fair

PEER honors First Responders Appreciation Day on July 23 at the California State Fair and will have an earthquake shaker table to demonstrate the effects of earthquakes on built structures. Come learn about building designs that resist earthquakes. Build your own structure with Kʻnex pieces and subject it to the shaker table. Staff will be on hand to provide guidance.

This family-friendly educational and hands-on exhibit will feature lessons and shaking at 1pm and 3:30pm.

Watch a video of the Peer Shaking Table.

The State Fair is open 11am – 10pm. More information is at http://www.castatefair.org.
