Requests for Proposals for the NGA East Project

The Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) is pleased to announce two new Requests for Proposals for the NGA East Project. PEER is looking for proposals on the following topics:

  1. The validation of existing earthquake rupture simulation models for the Central and Eastern US regions.
  2. The development of magnitude-area relationships applicable to the Central and Eastern US regions.

The deadline for both technical proposal submissions is September 8, 2010.

PEER is coordinating a comprehensive multidisciplinary program to develop Next Generation Attenuation Relationships for the Central and Eastern US (NGA East). NGA East is co-sponsored by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), US Department of Energy (DOE), and US Geological Survey (USGS).
