A briefing on the Eastern Japan earthquake, aftershocks, and tsunami of March 11, 2011, was jointly organized by the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER), Geotechnical Extreme Events Reconnaissance (GEER), and EERI’s Learning from Earthquakes Program.
