A briefing on the Christchurch, New Zealand, earthquake of February 22, 2011, was jointly organized by EERI’s Learning from Earthquakes Program and the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER), and co-sponsored by GEER. This briefing was attended by over 50 attendees at the UC Berkeley venue, and web-broadcasted to listeners at nearly 200 locations across the US and around the world.
