Southern California Edison signs MOU for PEER’s Lifelines Program

PEER and Southern California Edison (SCE)  signed a memorandum of understanding to enter into a new phase of research collaboration on a range of technical issues in earthquake engineering and science. The PEER-SCE collaboration will fall under the PEER Lifelines Program which has been conducting important research since 1996 and currently has Pacific Gas & Electric Company and California Department of Transportation as active partners.

Since the start of PEER’s Lifelines Program, over 100 research projects have been initiated ranging from quantification of ground motion hazard, soil response, soil-structure-interaction, and seismic performance of lifelines systems. With SCE’s new partnership, the scope of the program’s research will be expanded.

PEER welcomes SCE as a new member of the Lifelines Program!
