PEER Workshops

2025 PEER LBNL Workshop on the Regional Scale Simulated Ground Motion Database (SGMD) for the San Francisco Bay Area

The Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory collaborated on the development of the first Regional-scale Simulated Ground Motion Database (SGMD) for the San Francisco Bay Area.

2024 PEER - LBNL Workshop

A collaboration between Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL)

PEER - LBNL Workshop on Simulated Ground Motions for the San Francisco Bay Area: Save the Date January 18-19, 2024

October 3, 2023
The Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) are collaborating on the development of the first regional-scale, open-access simulated earthquake ground motion database for the San Francisco Bay Area.

2025 Researchers' Workshop, August 14

The Researchers' Workshop, held on August 14, 2025, featured presentations from all active PEER-funded projects. The goal of the workshop is to disseminate information about research that is currently ongoing in the Center and to develop interaction between projects across disciplines.

2021 DOE PEER Workshop

This workshop will bring together a group of international experts from the research and practitioner communities in the U.S. and Japan, to discuss state-of-the-art experimental techniques and emerging instrumentation technologies for large-scale SSI experiments that can produce unique experimental data to advance knowledge in natural hazards. The generated experimental data followed by research and development activities will ultimately result in updates to the technical standards and design guides, and build confidence in advanced nonlinear simulation techniques.

2021 PEER Researchers' Workshop

This workshop features presentations from all active PEER-funded projects from TSRP and PEER-Bridge Programs. The goal of the workshop is to disseminate information about research that is currently ongoing in the Center and to develop interaction between projects across disciplines. With a lot of time allocated for discussion, this workshop provides opportunities for active interaction among researchers, BIP members, sponsors and participants. This workshop is open to the PEER community.

2022 Researchers' Workshop

The Researchers' Workshop held on September 19 & 20, 2022 features presentations from all active PEER-funded projects from TSRP and PEER-Bridge Programs. The goal of the workshop is to disseminate information about research that is currently ongoing in the Center.

2024 Researchers' Workshop

The Researchers' Workshop will be held on August 15 & 16, 2024 and feature presentations from all active PEER-funded projects from TSRP and PEER-Bridge Programs. The goal of the workshop is to disseminate information about research that is currently ongoing in the Center and to develop interaction between projects across disciplines.

2018 PEER-USGS Workshop – HayWired and Building Codes, January 17

PEER partnered with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to co-host this workshop to identify research needs and opportunities arising from the USGS HayWired Scenario’s examination of outcomes of current building code requirements.

2018 Researchers' Workshop

PEER-funded researchers convened at the UC Berkeley Richmond Field Station on August 7 & 8, 2018, to provide information about their projects with one other. Over 45 participants from PEER Core Institutions shared in-progress findings about projects funded by the PEER TSRP and Lifelines Programs. The goal of the workshop was todisseminate information about PEER-funded research that is on-going, a nd to develop interaction between similar projects and across disciplines.
