PEER has just published Report No. 2012/08 titled “Guidelines for Estimation of Shear Wave Velocity Profiles” as a new addition to the PEER Report Series. It was authored by Bernard R. Wair and Jason T. DeJong of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering University of California, Davis and Thomas Shantz of the California Department of Transportation Sacramento. The research and report were sponsored by PEER’s Program of Applied Earthquake Engineering Research of Lifelines Systems supported by the California Department of Transportation and the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
