Working Group 1: Resources Review

WG 1: Resources Review

A review of relevant literature, data, and computational resources at the beginning of this project ensures that subsequent efforts will benefit from and complement previous research efforts. The review encompasses the broad range of issues related to the work of the other Working Groups, ranging from research on the design and behavior of wood-frame houses, to computational response and loss modeling, to best practices for stakeholder engagement and communication of technical information. Members from all task areas will participate in the review to capture a broad perspective that is effectively focused on the objectives of this project. The project team has assembled numerous technical publications related to prior experimental research, modeling strategies, and post-earthquake observations of cripple wall and wood-frame structures.
