The Structural Extreme Events Reconnaissance (StEER) Network has issued an Event Briefing for the June 17, M6.0 earthquake in Sichuan, China. Event Briefings are typically released within 48 hours of an event for which StEER will not deploy virtual or field assessment teams, but still warrants some commentary. This briefing summarizes the event characteristics and key lessons learned.

Abstract
The NSF-funded Structural Extreme Events Reconnaissance (StEER) Network has issued a Virtual Assessment Structural Team (VAST) Report for the May 26, 2019, M8.0 Lagunas Peru Earthquake.
The California Energy Commission awarded a $4.9 million grant to PEER on May 15 to improve the seismic risk assessment of natural gas storage and pipeline infrastructure.
