The American Institute of Steel Construction has awarded the 2021 Terry Peshia Early Career Faculty Award to Erica Fischer, PE, PhD, Assistant Professor at Oregon State University. The Terry Peshia Early Career Faculty Award provides recognition to faculty who demonstrate promise in the areas of structural steel research, teaching, and other contributions to the structural steel industry.

This month, we met Dr. Sifat Muin, a postdoctoral researcher at PEER.

We are excited to present PEER Student Representatives. These students will support the PEER Student Committee in implementing new initiatives during the 2021-2022 year.

The journal "Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering" is planning a special issue on innovations in structural health monitoring and has released a call for papers. Since 2001 twelve special issues of "Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering" have been devoted to Health Monitoring of Structures, and another special issue of the journal will be devoted to this topic in early 2022.
